Yangshuo County, located in Guilin Prefecture, has a monsoon-influenced, subtropical climate. The annual rainfall is approximately 1,900 mm. Much of this is delivered in bulk from March to June, often creating floods.
Daily temperature highs during winter (December – February) range from 12° – 15° C. Yangshuo’s winter season begins as relatively dry, becoming progressively wetter as spring approaches.
Spring (March – May) is the wettest time of year in in the region. These months are generally overcast, often rainy and quite warm. Highs range from 16° – 26° C.
Summer (June – August) is quite rainy and humid. July is the hottest month in Yangshuo, with average highs reaching 33° C.
Autumn (September – November) is sunny and dry, when average highs range from 20° – 30° C. Autumn is the ideal season to visit Yangshuo.
